Up till last night, I had no clue of what John Bunyan's metaphors in Pilgrim's Progress meant. Not this morning! During QT, I learnt one. When Christian was in the Interpretor's house, the Interpretor, holding a broom, brought him into a thickly dusty room. He represents the Law and began sweeping, causing Christian to nearly choke. Bunyan's point was that just as sweeping a dusty room does not remove the dust but only stirs it up, so the law does not restrain sin but merely aggravates it. The law is not meant to save. It is meant to fail to save so that it accomplishes its function of pointing sinners to Christ as the ultimate Savior. Our inability to fulfill the law causes us to recognize the greatest sacrifice on earth, that Christ died on the cross to save sinners

Who Am I
I'm Lois, a human being saved and currently alive by God's grace.
[I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Galations 2:20]
