Look at those expiry dates... scary. The crunchie and kitkat have been in my fridge for 4 and 2 years respectively. My fridge is relatively new. Bout 2 years old. So my elder bro asked how on earth did i get 4 years worth of expired food. Well... quite simply, they shifted from the old fridge to the new one with the other food stuff. I wanted to try both but decided against it due to the high probability of greeting Dr Soh at Silver Cross in less than 2 weeks.

Makes perfect sense...

[That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.] Philippians 2: 15-16 (NKJV)
The below excerpt from Spurgeon's message reminded me of Prayer Day last friday. Are we now in the right state to accomplish God's purposes for the church? May we always be ready to do the Lord's work.
Amongst the Swiss, the Vaudois, and the Waldenses, every minister trains one young man. Those pastors or shepherds always have a younger brother to travel with them wherever they go. He watches the elder pastor, observes his ways, listens to his holy prayers, is inspired with his spirit, learns to tread the craggy mountains with him, learns to defy the enemy through the courage which he sees in his elder brother. He learns lessons of wisdom which are not to be learnt from books, lessons of practical pastoral training which are not to be gathered from the best professors of the best colleges in the world. And thus the Swiss have ever maintained a succession of men, perhaps not brilliant, but always useful, — perhaps not popular, but always sound and valiant in their defense of the truth. And should it not be so with the Church? If to carry it out it need a laborious ministry, so much the better. If it need a holy and wise ministry, so much the better. No other man should be a minister at all. If it need a watchful Church, and a prayerful Church, and a Church which consecrates liberally of its substance to the Lord, I say so much the better — for so ought every Church to be. The only question is, are we in the right state now to accomplish all the Lord’s purposes? If we be not, let us make it a matter of prayer that we may be brought into this state, for we are never healthy unless we are prepared to do whatever God calls us to do.
5 minutes in university and you have your degree! Was shown this in lecture last year though the saying goes 'looks [and words] can be deceiving'... I'll rather not deceive myself. University life is great and I wldnt want to exchange any of it for the world. So, those who are waiting to go to uni, look forward to it as a gift from the Lord!
Look at what I cooked for myself! My first real dish! It's my version of Phat Thai so it doesnt look really that original. But still! It was edible... except that the noodles were very hard as i didnt soak them sufficiently. Wrong instructions from the packet coupled with my impatience. Nevertheless, good attempt! I'm a natural cook!
Surfing Youtube as usual... came across this hymn and its beautiful lyrics just bring tears to my eyes. Just a moment ago, just watched a show filmed by my uncle on channel u called 'silent scream'. The episode was on terminal illness and this guy who had lymphatic cancer who was gg to die. How fleeting one's life on earth is! And we don't realise it until death greets you face to face. That should not be the way to live our lives! After listening to this song, it only motivates me to want to live the rest of my life absolutely for the Lord. How unworthy any human being is to receive a salvation so free. You too should think about how you live your life now, for any time later might be a second too late.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.
Many posts today, but all different things the same. Ever wondered how people did gardening on overhead bridges? I used to wonder how all those buganvilias are always trimmed so neatly. Ahh! There you go. And it's this dangerous. Notice the single safety cable this guy is caribinered to. At least he's wise to attach it to the thicker railing. Doubt the thin ones would ever support his weight.

Bought some Keds. According to the people i met today for lecture, Keds is apparently quite a famous brand in the States. But... my family just happened to be in Wisma Atria yesterday. "That's a nice pair of shoes!" exclaimed my mum. I nodded in unison with my older bro and hence i bought it.

Hang in there for all ceaseless term papers, projects, mid term tests, continual assesments and perpetual deadlines.]
of course, not to forget laziness and sloth which we all ought to moult out of

I didnt make this, but apparently, it's quite useful. Look at the countless number of possibilities in which Mas Selamat can disguise himself as! Anything is possible, unless he has already died trying to escape. I was scratching and still am scratching my head as to how on earth he escaped... the toilet definitely was within the secured compound. How long did it take for the police waiting for him to finish his business to realise he went missing! My friend's theory was that, parallel to the animated movie 'Flushed Away', Mas Selamat flushed himself down the toilet bowl. That is why the police cannot find him anywhere close to the Whitley Road detention centre. They have now resorted to searching Bukit Batok and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve! My friend predicted that he did that as the sewage system leads directly into Indonesian waters, where his hometown supposedly is and he most probably got stuck halfway. If you realise that your toilet bowl and mine gets stucked these few days, be vigilant! It could be him clogging up the whole nation's toilet bowls. Perhaps the police could start checking the sewage systems instead of walking in broad day light around neighbourhoods with their uniforms on! The terrorist wannabe wont want to walk past them, even with all of the above disguises!
This post is not to offend anyone but just for some laughs. We cant be serious 24/7 as Singaporeans ya... one netizen even made a spoof poster of Prison Break, with Mas Selamat as Michael Scofield (the comparison is very bad i know) and the poster was renamed as 'Toilet Break'! Talk about some interesting pun Singaporeans can come up with... just received an MMS from Singtel of this UNWANTED man. I will be a good citizen and help find him with this poster above in my pocket!

Just drove past this dental clinic this morning. Took a shot as I was wondering if I ever dared to enter such a clinic. It looked pretty old and dilapitated for a dental clinic. My mum commented that old ah pehs go there to get their teeth pulled out and dentures fitted. Perhaps that's why this clinic is still surviving in 21st century Singapore. lol
anw, happy belated leap year to one and all out there. watched 'the leap years' today with felicia. i must say it's the best local film production ever since the founding of Singapore's movie industry.

Who Am I
I'm Lois, a human being saved and currently alive by God's grace.
[I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Galations 2:20]
