[Quote] So how on earth can the people who acclaim their assumptions are true spread word that people are formed with a BANG! [Unquote],
Same goes for all of creation. How on earth can my soci of food lecturer claim that the earth is 100,000 and more years old and even have archeological evidence for it when everything is formed by the big bang or evolution? It really doesnt make sense when you just see all of creation around you - detailed to the very detail. You can't help but imagine a creator behind all these, like a carpenter is to a chair. How can that chair just pop up without someone chopping wood and carving it?
The cloud above just reminded me of how wonderful God's creation is. I took it in the Upper Thompson area. (just like how Zhihan saw the clouds at jalan pemimpin :D )

As promised from the entry on 2nd Sept, here's a short extract from 'What is True Conversion' by Stephen Smallman. It is actually found in the first question of the Heidelberg Catechism. (Rachel! It's german i think!) May God help us to live our lives solely for Him.
[Q: What is your only comfort in life and in death? A: That I belong - body and soul, in life and in death - not to myself but to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ, who at the cost of His own blood has fully paid for all my sins and has completely freed me from the dominion of the devil; that He protects me so well that without the will of my Father in heaven not a hair can fall from my head; indeed, that everything must fit His purpose for my salvation. Therefore, by His Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.]
Wow... what a great comfort! Amen!
“Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:7–8) (NIV)

this post is to meiting and all my other basics out there undergoing trials in your life
James 1:2-3 'My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials'
I love this hymn below and may it be a song you meditate on this day :)
Sometimes life seems like words and music
That can’t quite become a song.
So we cry inside, and we try again
And wonder what could be wrong.
But,when we turn to the Lord at the end of ourselves
Like we’ve done a time or two before
We find His truth is the same
As it has always been
We never will need more
Chorus:It’s not in trying But in trusting
It’s not in running, But in resting
It's not in wondering, But in praying
That we find the strength of the Lord(2 times)
He’s all we need, for our every need
We never need be alone
Still He’ll let us go if we choose to
To live life on our own
Then the only good, that will ever be said
Of the pains we find ourselves in
There are places to gain
The wisdom to say
I’ll never leave Him again

I am so glad that our Father in Heav’n
Tells of His love in the Book He has giv’n;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see,
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.
Refrain: I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
Though I forget Him, and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms I do flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me. Refrain
Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song through eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!” Refrain
Jesus loves me, and I know I love Him;
Love brought Him down my poor soul to redeem;
Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree;
Oh, I am certain that Jesus loves me! Refrain
If one should ask of me, how can I tell?
Glory to Jesus, I know very well!
God’s Holy Spirit with mine doth agree,
Constantly witnessing Jesus loves me. Refrain
In this assurance I find sweetest rest,
Trusting in Jesus, I know I am blessed;
Satan, dismayed, from my soul now doth flee,
When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.
Refrain
Jesus loves even me... I loved singing this song ever since I was a kid and I never did reflect on the lyrics till now. Esp the last phrase and the song's title: Jesus loves even me. Why should He even love a sinner like me? The word of emphasis is 'even'. It's like the song 'How deep the Father's love for us', whereby one line goes 'Why should I gain from His (Christ's) reward, I cannot give an answer, but this I know with all my heart, His (Christ's) wounds have paid my ransom.

The book 'The Sinfulness of Sin' by Ralph Venning quotes:
'God is holy, all holy, only holy, altogether holy, and always holy so sin is sinful, all sinful, only sinful, altogether sinful, and always sinful'
Sin is no mistake and is no error in judgement. It is lawlessness and plainly sinful; a transgression and rebellion against authority, in particular and especially against the God Almighty. Remember that there is no lesser sin. Every sin is equally severe and qualifies us to enter damnation if not for the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father, sending His Son to die on behalf of us for our sins and sending the Holy Spirit to ring our conscience alarms from day to day.
Philippians 4:13 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' - context is that Paul could learn to be content with the help of God. Pray that God will help us deal with the 'little' sins we tolerate in our lives.

1 year older is 1 year more to grow in God's wisdom and grace. Birthdays are meant for you to feel young! So don't miss out celebrating a year's birthday and miss out on this opportunity to thank God for another year He keeps you alive!

There are two golden days about which I never worry - yesterday and tomorrow. Those days belong to God. Therefore, that leaves me only today. Any man can fight the battles of just one day. Oh Friend, it is only when we add the burden of those two awful eternities - yesterday and tomorrow - that we break down. Those days are God's days - leave them with Him. Therefore, I will journey just one day at a time.

Adapted from the small booklet 'What is True Conversion' by Stephan Smallman, which touched my heart greatly and reminded clearly of Christ's wonderful completed act on the cross:-
{Does this mean that a person can be spiritually alive but not yet converted? Yes, most definitely! If people were not alive to the things of God, they would not even be able to hear the gospel. After all, we are "dead in [our] transgressions and sins" (Eph 2:1-3) until God makes us alive by the same power that raised Christ from the dead (2:4-10).
In another era people like this were called "awakened sinners." We don't consider this possibility, I'm convinced, because the evangelistic training we receive teaches us to press as quickly as we can for a "decision". We shold welcome the idea that people we know personally or who come to our churches are exploring and seeking to know Christ. More often than not, the Spirit takes time to make people aware of their sin, and to make the essential realities of the gospel clearer and clearer, until the need to "embrace Jesus Christ freely offered in the gospel" becomes irresistible.
Pray that our churches and our small groups and our kitchens be environments where these people feel welcome to come and ask questions, and where the Spirit can take whatever amount of time He chooses to bring about a true expression of faith in Jesus.}
Amen!
I will continue from this book with the Heidelberg Catechism, with a question asked: 'What is your only comfort in life and in death?' If anyone wants to borrow this, it's a short read of only an hour at most, so ask it from me!

Who Am I
I'm Lois, a human being saved and currently alive by God's grace.
[I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Galations 2:20]
