Just went through some of my California photos and saw this taken in UCIrvine's one and only busy Starbucks. This was the back of the cup, a space for people to voice their thoughts and reflections titled 'The way I see it'. We often like to see things the way we want it to be/become in our lives. In this case, Julie Wade (the writer) wants us to take a light-hearted view on cancer, being a survivor of cancer herself. I just watched Rachel Barkey's 'Death is not dying' video clip about a month back. She has since returned home to be with the Lord on 2nd July 2009. What convinced me of her true Christian faith was that she lived her last few months with cancer, not based on how she saw it, but how God saw it. How God knew it was the best for her despite all her external circumstances. May God grant this to me, that I see things not in my own light, but in His and His alone.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
(Jer.29.11)
For those who are so free as to view my blog, you might as well be even more 'free' to watch Rachel's first and last video before her passing:

Who Am I
I'm Lois, a human being saved and currently alive by God's grace.
[I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
Galations 2:20]
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is God's gift, that's why we call it the present.”
