Malachi 3:13-15 was a fearful reminder that as the Israelites mechanically served God by following the rituals of the Mosaic Law and lacked faith and the heart for God, we today could have been serving Him by sacrificing lame lambs as well. It struck me that the blood of Christ must be too precious to be shed for such a sin as this.
