Arizona is such a beautiful place, though desert-like temperatures soar (even in spring!), the scenery is unique in it's red rock (also known as clay). Desert plants like cactus also have blooming flowers! Isn't the above one pretty?
Our first glimspe of Grand Canyon evoked a silence in all our hearts. Just one look and we get the sense of awe never felt before. We all have questions of how the Grand Canyon was formed. We all dont have the answers ourselves. Man never will have cos we weren't there. Only God. So our only source of answers is the Bible. When we went to a watchtower at the canyon, there was a single plaque with the verse Psalm 66:4 'All the earth worships Thee, they sing praises to Thee, sing praises to Thy name'. When I read this verse, I immediately said Amen. Thank God for this verse to be placed here. An excellent reminder not to look at creation without remembering the Creator. God created all these, not in billions of years, but in a great flood that happened just 6000 yrs ago. Man shun this truth as it means believing that God created everything as well. My prayer is that whoever reads this and has yet to believe, would be reminded that behind everything, like a car, has a creator. And the creator of heaven and earth is none other than God Himself.
Just look at the sunset and magnificent shadows it creates on the canyon. The air was cool, the only sounds we hear were those of the wind blowing against the coniferous trees. We all kept stopping nonstop to take photos of the same scene over and over again. A solemn witness and testimony to God's amazing handiwork.
